This Cover was returned because the ticket supply was exhausted for the Boston Braves. The 16 cents (paid by the Prexys) paid for postage and Special Delivery. The three cent meter was the payment by the Boston Braves to have it returned. In 1948, the Boston Braves lost the World Series.
This cover was returned because the service was suspended to the Philippines. The Japanese invaded the Philippines on December 8, 1941. This cover was postmarked on December 9, 1941.
